Route 66! Here we come!

My trip down Rt 66 is almost here!  And I can't wait to tell you all about it.

But wait! You have no clue who I am or what's it all about. So I guess I will start at the beginning....or maybe not that far back.  I'm Pam, but I go by Pammie Kay alot. The name came about because my dad's favorite cousin had a daughter named Pam also. It was confusing in the campsite to just yell "Pam!", so I became Pammie Kay. But mostly to my Hanna cousins. And when I started going to church camp, I introduced myself that way. And 65 years later it has stuck.

I am a happily married mother of 3 grown children, 5 grandkids and 2 dogs. I thrive in the outdoors, whether I am gardening, camping, kayaking or just sitting in the sun like a lizard on a rock. I love to craft and make cards. My walk with God is very important to me. He has brought me through many hardships and joys. If you would like to know more,  please ask me. 

I am starting this blog to document my upcoming Rt 66 trip. It starts next week!  But why should you read my blog...why am I doing this trip...alone...at my age?

•  Because I am a 69 year old stroke survivor. And life is short.
• My Irish ancestors handed down a gift of story telling. (I have the gift of gab)
• My traveling buddy is a 53 year old Rubber Duck.
• I am taking my time exploring our beautiful country via Route 66.
• I am pulling my 10' teardrop trailer, The Gypsy Dreamer, camping, cooking & discovering great campsites along the way!

And I am sharing it to anyone who will listen!
